Introduction
Maliina Abelsen
Maliina is a former Program Manager at UNICEF, CCO/Commercial Director at Air Greenland with responsibility for sales, marketing, customer service and station staff. From 2013-2016 Maliina was the Director of the Arctic Winter Games 2016. She was a member of Inatsisartut in 2009-2013, and during this period she was Naalakkersuisoq for Finance and Naalakkersuisoq for Social Affairs.
Maliina has previously worked at the UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva and the Danish Foreign Ministry in Nuuk.
Over the years, she has built up solid board experience and is currently chairman of Royal Greenland A/S, a member of the board of the Greenland Bank and vice-chairman of the Greenland Bank’s corporate fund. Previously, she has been chairman of Visit Greenland and vice chairman of Tele Greenland.
Maliina holds an MSc (Sociology) and a Master’s degree in Policy and Applied Social Science from Australia, trained and internationally certified coach and yoga and mindfulness instructor, project manager trained and recently appointed Czech Consul in Greenland.
Arnakkuluk Jo Kleist
Arnakkuluk has for the past five years, 2018-2023, been the Director of Greenland’s Culture House Katuaq, leading the organization through a challenging corona period. Prior to this, she was Communications Director at Tele-Post (now Tusass).
In the period 2014-2016, Arnakkuluk was Deputy Head of Arctic Winter Games 2016 and was responsible for the entire communication, culture and volunteer area.
At the time, she came from a position as Head of the Communication and Culture Department in Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq.
Arnakkuluk holds a Master’s degree in Communication & Cultural and Language Studies from Roskilde University.
Arnakkuluk is vice chairwoman of the Greenland Art Foundation and is generally actively involved in the local community, e.g. as a volunteer and as an avid culture user. He also has a wide network in the community.
In Arnakkuluk’s daily life, nature is used as a respite and a source of energy.
